1. Free initial consultation: Following your initial contact, our first step is to schedule a complimentary no-commitment consultation. The purpose of this initial consultation is to gather information about your situation and provide you with information and tailored recommendations with respect to your options. This first meeting can take place via email, phone or video call - whatever is most comfortable for you.
2. Information and document gathering: After our initial consultation meeting, if you decide to move forward with a service we provide, we will gather more concrete details and documentation from you so that we can put together the documents required to make a filing.
3. The sign-up: We will review the relevant documents with you to ensure you understand and are clear about the content. Once the documents are finalized, you will sign them so that we can make the official filing with the government.
4. Fulfilling your duties: When making an insolvency filing, you are committing to performing certain duties over a period of time. The specific duties and the time period depend on the option you choose, but they typically involve attending 2 counselling sessions with us, providing specific information, and making certain payments.
5. Discharge: Once you have completed all of the required duties over the specified period of time, you receive a discharge from your debts and are released from the process.
